We were on the boat Concerta for a 4 day Nile Cruise . Everything was great . The suites were beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was also... read more good.
The best part was our private guide Mohamed Basry who accompanied us to all the historical sights and taught us everything about Egypt history. Starting from when it all began to the current day . Even our teenagers were interested especially in the stories of all the gods. I would have never imagined I would have learned so much while on vacation.

The delightful fiction of a Nile cruise with a deadly outcome was written by Agatha Christie way back in 1937.
The reality in modern-day Egypt is quite different and... read more tranquil. The colossal diesel-powered ships are floating 3-star hotels with large, comfortable cabins, a sun deck with a pool, and, on the lower deck, a lavish buffet three times a day.
Admittedly, there's a bit of a soft hat vibe to the concept. But every now and then, one is allowed to simply lean back for a few days and move into a bubble of laid-back well-being, right?
Mornings start extremely early, one day at 3:45 a.m., with excursions to Egypt's many spectacular sights. Afternoons are spent on sunbeds with books or watching palm trees, bewildered cows, and small towns with echoing mosques glide by.
The biggest drama is probably when tiny wooden boats come racing in and attach themselves to the side of the ship in true pirate fashion. These are floating scarf sellers who shout their lungs out to attract the attention of passengers, while their small boats constantly teeter perilously close to capsizing.
It has been 4 days, 3 nights sailing from Aswan to Luxor on Royal Esadora. We are VERY relaxed and look forward to stepping on the gas a bit in Luxor, where the Valley of the Kings, the Karnak Temple, and other sights await us with bated breath.
November 13, 2023Our cruise on MS Emilio - Great sights and excursions well worth a visit.
Only few gripes are the room slightly dated so we had to get a new safe, toilet fixed, mirror falling off the... read more wall.
These were fixed quite quickly. And the staff were very accommodating and helpful.
Everyone got a 24hr bug so be very careful about washing teeth with tap water, or showering and taking in any tap water. Use hand sanitiser to cut down contamination, and try not to eat anything that is washed.
The wifi is extortionate if possible buy a sim data card from a phone shop in Hurghada or Luxor, where you can get a 10gb sim for around £10. Whatapp is usable for talking and file sharing but you have to use messenger to make calls.
If you get the MS Emilio you have to have a massage with "Sesore", he was excellent best body massage I have ever had.
Overall it is our 2nd cruise, last time was 16years ago, and this one was as great as last time. If you can afford it the excursion to Abu Simbel, and the balloon ride is well worth it. Can't say the same about the light show, found it a bit disappointing.
I nile cruise is not relaxing cruise but it will be an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life, and you share a table with the same people every meal time which creates a great group of friends possibly for life.
